Shana was amazing! She's always smiling and super sweet. Love the history of the hotel. Stayed in room 21 which was the most haunted room. The balcony is huge! They also have parking which was very convenient.
So historical and looks like it did in the 1800s. Just across from the Blacksmith Bar sit at your balcony and watch the show. Same famous "Purple Drank" or Voodoo Daiquiri and the best Hurricane in the French Quarter made with real fruit juice served at the bar.
Many people said that staying on Bourbon Street would be dangerous for a woman travelling alone. Not only did I stay at this hotel by myself, I absolutely loved it! The staff was friendly and welcoming! They helped me find my way around the French Quarter. They helped make my trip so much better! I got advice as to great local restaurants and attractions. And was told of the local tradition of depositing ashes into the Mississippi. Since I was bringing my husband‘s ashes to leave in New Orleans, I took a portion of them down to the river and made that happen! A couple nights there was a pianist in the lounge and I was able to go enjoy the music and the singing! There’s a small bar on site in case you don’t want to go fight the crowds on the street.
Best place to stay in New Orleans! Perfect location and the service is 5 Star! If you’re thinking about visiting New Orleans I highly recommend booking your stay at Lafitte’s! We’ll be back soon!
